The SpringFest parade is always a favourite with locals and visitors alike but this year’s is anticipated to be the biggest yet as it joins forces with bicentenary celebrations.
Participants are encouraged to dress up in period costume, walk, ride or decorate a float, as the town celebrates its 200th year on Saturday, September 23. Chariots for Charity – run by the Lions Clubs of Geurie and Wellington – is set to hit the streets again. It is a great family event with all money raised going back into community projects.
The Quota Art Competition is in full swing and entries are pouring in. Enjoy a glass of champagne, local music and viewing of some of the region’s great talent at the opening night.
Plenty of children's entertainment will be available on the day, including a petting zoo, PCYC tag laser skirmish, the snake man, Trike Adventures, and face painting.
