Show Day is Saturday May 20, but events are running from Friday May 19 until Sunday May 21.
Wellington Show Society vice-president Danielle Anderson said the Show this year is particularly special because of the Bicentenary celebrations.
“We really wanted to make this year a big celebration of our town and we’re hoping we can get a really big crowd to come along. We want this to be a show to remember.”

Ms Anderson is encouraging families to head along and take part in the Family Farming Fun Challenge on the Saturday.
“It will be a great opportunity for families to have fun and to compete against each other for some great prizes. First prize is a $300 LoveMerino voucher, second prize is a family pass to the [Taronga] Western Plains Zoo and third prize is an $80 Cow and Calf restaurant voucher.”
Another entertainment feature Ms Anderson said she is looking forward to seeing is the tent pegging display.
“People will be able to sit up in the grandstand and just be entertained.”
