While admittedly sad to be leaving Wellington, Reverend Fotakis said she is excited to start her new journey in Kyogle, in the states’ far north-east.
“Certain events and conversations led the bishop of Grafton inviting me to interview for the role – and I was hearing God’s call,” she said.
Reverend Fotakis said there is much she will miss about Wellington.
“The parish has been a joy to minister in.
“I’ve enjoyed being a part of the WINS [Wellington Information and Neighbourhood Services] board, playing football with Gungie Origin, and all of the countless community events.
“I’m going to miss the Wellington community enormously – but I feel like my time here has come to a close,” she said.
Reverend Fotakis said she hopes to have fulfilled God’s wishes.
“My prayer is that I was able to share God’s love in this wonderful community.”
