They are one of 18 teams from NSW competing at this year’s competition.
The team will be lead by captain Josie Clarke who has been licensed to roam and support wherever she is needed all day.
She will be partnered in the middle with Ella James fresh from representing the NSW team in Perth.
Out in the link position, all of the the week’s opposition will be seeing double with the Whiteman twins Sophie and Claudia charging and diving around the rucks.
On the wing will be Megan Connan and Bridgette Carney, providing a wall of defense to get around.
Megan and Bridgette will be vital to holding our defensive structures together.
Coming off the bench to go in to middle will be the ever-enthusiastic Millie Mills and Emily Smith who will provide a good straight forward settling drives for the attack.
Demi Owens, Bonnie Sheridan and Lilly Clarke will also be coming off of the bench.
These girls will give us tremendous advantages all over the field, being all able to play various positions. They will be used as utilities all day.
The team will meet at Doyle Grounds in North Parramatta at 2pm for a captain’s run.
The girls will use this time to get a feel of the playing grounds and get in some last minute training ahead of the big week.
The girls will be made sure to get an early night before a big day of footy on Thursday.
Regardless of what happens in Sydney, we are so proud of what these girls have achieved, being so young and from a small school.
The effort they put in at Bathurst really showed that the girls had the heart and bond to go all the way to the finish.
We at St Mary’s are so proud of the whole team and truly hope they enjoy their time in Sydney.
