It is easy to forget what beauty lies on Wellington's doorstep.
However entrants in the Mount Arthur Reserve Photo Competition have certainly been busy exploring the reserve, and being rewarded by spectacular views and finding its hidden gems.
An exhibition of all entries into the Photo Competition will be held at the Macquarie Theatre on Swift Street on Friday November 21 (10.30am to 4.30pm), Saturday November 22 (9am to 2pm) and Sunday November 23 (12 to 3pm).
This is a great chance for the local community to experience and appreciate the beauty of the reserve through the eyes of the photographers young and old. You might just be inspired to head out exploring!
There will also be an opportunity to vote in the People's Choice Award.
This competition and exhibition would not have been possible without the support of Jenet Stewart at ImajenIT Commercial Photography, the Papillon Foundation, Phoebe Maroulis, Project Analysis, Lola and Neil Hanington, Leo and Marion Dawson, the Lion of Waterloo, Twin Rivers Printing, Friends of the Burrendong Arboretum, the Wellington Redbacks, Geoff and Penny Cook, Chris and Deb George, the Baigent family, the Cactus Cafe, the Caves Bottle House, the Bell River Estate Winery, Taylor Home Decor, Kimbell's Cafe, Trim Hair Studio, Brian Holmes and Pacific Seafoods.
