Story Box Library is an engaging educational resource that inspires reading in kids of all ages, improving language and literacy skills along the way. Best of all, it’s free for families to enjoy anytime anywhere when you are a member of the library. You can see and hear your favourite stories come to life, read by Nick Cave, Justine Clarke, Eddie Perfect, Kate Ritchie, Andrew Hanson, Missy Higgins, Shane Jacobson and many more. And if you join the Summer Reading Club this resource counts towards the number of books read as well.
And if you can’t make it into the Library to choose your books you can always read or listen to an e-book. They are available in adults, teens and children’s titles, as well as e-magazines, so everyone will always have access to reading material. Just check with the library to make sure you have a pin/password on your library record, download the app and start reading.
With the weather heating up why not come and cool down at the library with books to read, games to play, jigsaws to build, local and national newspapers, magazines, plus computers and free wifi, as well as access to as much information as you could possibly want.
Can’t get to the Library? Then check out Macquarie Regional Library’s website, there you will find information and links to online resources, ebooks, library catalogue, what to read next, the latest books and DVD’s, opening hours and programs and events that are held across the region. You can also access your library record to renew, reserve or update details, using your library card number and your pin/password.
