Dubbo’s Shoyoen Gardens and the city’s centre were the scenes of music and entertainment presented as part of the DREAM Festival.
Now the “DREAM Team” is calling for volunteers to help with the popular and growing Music + Markets on Saturday.
The Big Band Riot, Sushi in the Shoyoen Gardens and Church on Sunday made a big weekend.
Sushi in the Shoyoen Garden, supported by Dubbo Regional Council and the Friends of the Dubbo Regional Botanic Garden, attracted more than 900 people on Saturday.
It featured Japanese tea sampling, Taiko no wa Drummers, Shakuhachi Japanese flute performance, kids’ activities and martial arts demonstrations.
DREAM Festival committee chairwoman Anne Field said the volunteer team had been amazing.
As the festival continues, the committee has called for volunteers for its premiere event, Music + Markets.
Helping hands are need to carry lanterns, do lolly drops, parade marshalling, in the food stalls and in Dreamland, a kids’ area where working with children checks are required.
