Among them are 29 students from Wellington High School who sat the first of the exams – English Paper 1 – at the Baptist Hall on Monday morning.
The final exam, Design and Technology, will be conducted on November 7.
Wellington High School principal, Rod Cosier, said while most students have been feeling the stress ahead of this week, many were eager to get started.
”The current Year 12 have been a committed cohort from the first day they attended Wellington High School,” he said.
“I am sure that their preparation for these examinations has been well organised and thorough.
“I would like to take this opportunity to wish them all the best for these examinations and simply implore them to produce their best.”
