The milestone will be held in conjunction with the town’s bicentenary celebrations as historic town and country gardens within a six mile radius of Wellington are put on show.
Garden Club president, Di Whittle, said four busloads from Parkes, Orange, Nyngan and Dubbo are already scheduled to attend on the day in what fills the committee with confidence.
This year’s open garden will be the second hosted by the local group, the first being in 2013 when a substantial amount of funds raised were donated to Maranartha House and PAPA.
This year Wellington’s four schools will benefit from funds raised on the day.
The day will include plant and produce stalls, art, music, garden art, lunch, morning and afternoon teas. Lunch will be available at Nyrang and Keston, while Towri and Narrawa will serve morning and afternoon tea. Those interested in visiting the gardens are encouraged to bring their own seating.
The day will commence at 9.30am and conclude at 5pm. Tickets and a map are available from all gardens at $20 for six gardens or $5 each. Free entry for children under 12.
