With the arrival of daylight saving the events will commence at 5.30pm.
Committee members said it was great to see so many athletes and their families attend, despite the possible threat of rain.
Athletes competed in a range of events on the night, including 50m, 100m, 200m and 3000m races, fly, as well as shot put, long jump, discus and high jump.
“It is so exciting to see so many of our athletes gaining confidence and skill in these events, and always trying their best in each event,” Allison Grant said.
On Monday, October 16 the club will host an annual fundraising afternoon to raise valuable funds for Ronald McDonald House.
Athletes are encouraged to wear red and white.
To raise money the committee asks that families bring along some red and white cupcakes that can be sold on the night. Ronald McDonald Helping Hands and red and white socks will also be available to purchase on Monday, so bring along some spare change to help support this worthy cause.
The following Monday, October 23 Wellington Little Athletics will be participating in the "The Shoosh for Kids" summer campaign, which is aimed at promoting positive behaviour at junior sport.
