The girls breezed through the day undefeated, getting wins under their belt against St Matthews Mudgee, Orange High School, La Salle Lithgow, James Shean Orange and Blayney High School.
The girls went on to defeat Kinross Woloroii Orange to qualify for the grand final, however Orange High School bounced back to take a one-point win over Wellington.
St Mary’s Catholic School teacher, Alistaire Thompson, was full of praise for his team.
“I cannot speak more highly of my girls who again have played above their weight to again make another grand final at a regional carnival,” he said.
The girls will now back up against Wellington High on Wednesday, September 20 to contest the Don Green Local Derby Cup.
Reminder Wellington Touch Regos are now open. A registration night will be held at Rygate Oval from 5pm on September 20.
