There will be something for everyone at SpringFest 2017 which gets under way on Friday, September 22.

Now in its sixth year, the event is expected to draw thousands to Wellington for three days of song and dance, arts and craft, food and of course the Wellington Bicentenary SpringFest Parade.

The event kicks off with ‘SwingFest’ at the Wellington Soldiers Club, followed by the three-day Quota Charity Art competition with special guest Herb Smith of Dreamtime Tuka delivering a welcome to country.

Community-made flags will hang along the main road, painted by schools, churches and other community groups.

There will be live music galore across town, including local troupe the Galaxy Girls who will make their debut.

Children will be well catered for with mini train rides, snake demonstrations, PCYC laser skirmish, a jumping castle and petting zoo at the markets, while a free family movie – Dot and the Kangaroo – will show from 6.30pm on Saturday, September 24 at Cameron Park.
