Two people have died in a crash about 25km east of Wellington on Friday afternoon.

Police are investigating the crash which occured on the Mitchell Highway at Bakers Swamp about 25km east of Wellington.
Shortly before 3pm emergency services were called to the scene following reports of a crash between a 4WD and a sedan.
The driver of the 4WD, a man, and the driver of the sedan, a woman died at the scene.
A passenger in the sedan, a man, was trapped for a short time before being treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Orange Hospital with serious injuries.
A crime scene was established and investigations are continuing.
Speaking to the Wellington Times at the crash scene Inspector Dan Skelly implored motorists to be careful.
“This accident has claimed another two lives for people on NSW roads unfortunately,” he said.
“We’re really appealing to people to slow down, drive to conditions, drive to survive and get there alive.”
The highway was still closed in both directions at 6pm and traffic diverted along Burrendong Way.

Emergency services are at the scene of a motor vehicle accident near Wellington.
Live Traffic NSW is reporting there are two cars involved with persons trapped at the incident at Bakers Swamp, 25km east of Wellington on the Mitchell Highway.
The southbound lane of the road is closed.
