Captain-coach Dennis Moran said his side needed to forget the win over Dubbo Westside, the final score was 38-24 but Westside led by eight 15 minutes into the second half, and move on.

Moran will be well aware his side needs a better performance on Sunday when the Nyngan Tigers make the trip to Pioneer Oval.

The match will have a huge impact on the ladder. If Parkes manage to win it will leapfrog the Tigers and move into second while a Nyngan win would mean a top two finish is almost guaranteed.

The Tigers impressed last round, winning 24-16 at Forbes, and captain-coach Stewart Mills will be keen for another strong performance on the road this weekend.

Brett Howard moved to fullback last weekend and scored a try, Sam Simmons moved to the wing, adding more attacking firepower to the Tigers lineup.

In the other match this weekend, the Forbes Magpies make the trip to Narromine.

The two sides are in contrasting positions, with the Magpies battling to stay in the top three conversation after some tight defeats in recent rounds while the Jets have found form in the second half of the season and are now firmly in the finals conversation.

The Jets defeated Wellington on the bell last weekend, moving into equal sixth in the process, and confidence is high heading into the Magpies match.
