Brett gave an interesting and entertaining talk about his varied life experiences, from growing up in the Wellington district, life in the Army including overseas peace-keeping duties, the Army Reserve and his various roles in the police service.

Members enjoyed Brett’s talk which gave an unexpected glimpse of what a “boy from Wellington” can achieve.

David Stewart, engineer and farmer will be the guest speaker at the next meeting to be held on Friday, July 7 at the Wellington Bowling Club, commencing at 10am. A short meeting and morning tea will be held before David speaks.

Plans are well underway for the club’s visit to Canberra and Floriade over the October long weekend.
