Buddist nun, Choden Thubtem, said Ayya Yeshe will share spiritual wisdom to show how compassion can overcome all obstacles.
“People might want to reconnect with Ayya, having met her before in Wellington on her last couple of visits,” Choden said. “She is a very inspiring person and her life story is quite uplifting, so people might like some inspiration.”
The public talk, ‘Finding Happiness’, will be held at the Wellington Buddist Centre at 166 Arthur Street on Sunday, July 23 at 10am. It is a $5 suggested donation, with proceeds helping slum children for Bodhicitta Foundation.
Choden said the public talk doubles as a good opportunity to take a look at the Buddist Centre’s newly-completed meditation hall.
