Popular television host Karl Stefanovic and his Today Show colleagues Lisa Wilkinson, Sylvia Jeffreys, Tim Gilbert and Richard Wilkins will hit the Dubbo Regional Council on Thursday, June 29 as part of the program’s 35th birthday celebrations.
The ‘We Love Australia’ tour will incorporate visits to Hamilton Island, Winton and Glenrowan, the site of Ned Kelly’s final stand, before stopping at Dubbo and Wellington on day four.
Dubbo Regional Council administrator, Michael Kneipp, said the weather team will be transmitting from the Wellington Caves.
He said it is a great opportunity to showcase the town’s tourism opportunities.
“To have that broadcast across 300,000 television sets from the Wellington Caves is a great way to highlight the tourism opportunities in Dubbo Regional Council,” he said. “We’re always working hard behind the scenes on something.”
