What’s New
Why not start your winter reading off with an imaginative trip to the Himalaya’s with The Himalayan Summer by Louise Brown, or maybe Paris is more your style with Paris in Bloom by Georgianna Lane. Visit Italy, the country of romance with The Most Beautiful Woman in Florence by Alyssa Palombo and whilst you’re in Italy maybe continue with My Italian Bulldozer by Alexander McCall Smith.
Closer to home is the true story of Island Nurses. Leonie Howe and Adele Robertson live and work on remote Great Barrier Island- so called because it faces the full brunt of the wild Pacific weather and acts as a barrier for the mainland of New Zealand about 100kms away. The story about two remarkable women and how they forged their careers in a remote place; a story of community and the births and deaths that shape its ups and downs’ a classic story of making do and overcoming adversity; and a story of hope and new life.
