Marie Hensley presented the introductory Permaculture Fundamentals workshop.
Ms Hensley believes a more mindful approach to living can be more affordable and can provide for stronger and more resilient communities.
“Permaculture is a conscious way for all of us to live by whether you are in the city or on a farm,” she said.
After a break, Debbie Wynne presented an ‘Introduction to Aquaponics’.
Aquaponics is a blend of aquaculture and hydroponics.
On Saturday June 24, Mid Macquarie Landcare will be running a workshop at the Community Garden.
Ian Campbell will be helping Ms Wynne set up a fully-functioning aquaponics system, and everyone in attendance on Saturday has put that date in the diary to attend this workshop.
Further information about the times of this workshop or any other queries, can be obtained from Mid Macquarie Landcare on 02 6845 1420.
