Thirteen members took to the greens in last Wednesday’s Jackpot Bowls.
Winners on the day were Charlie morley & Dave Stace who defeated Don Graham & Ron Oxenham. Runners up were Glenn Porter & Terry Dray who defeated Frank & Ray Gersbach. Other results were Col Hume. Allan Manning & Richard Carpenter defeated Col Hume, John Gersbach & Bill Meharg.
The Jackpot $180 was not won.
Bill Meharg won the raffle.
Jackpot Bowls are on again today with names to be in by 1.00pm for 1.30pm start.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to Richard Carpenter on becoming the Clubs Singles Champion. Richard defeated Scott Reid in an entertaining final last Saturday 31 - 23

Scoot Reid, Dave Stace, Terry Dray & Peter Baker defeated D.Austin, G.Rudd, Les Ryan & Rory Ryan 20 - 14. Jason Cornish, Garry King, Kevin Stanley & Trevor Elemes defeated M.Watts, E.Stockdale, D.Walsh & T. Vickers 23 - 19 This gave Wellington a 10 – 0 win 65 – 47
Wellington now progress to the Sectional Playoffs to be held on 27 & 28 May at a venue to be announced next week..
There will be no bowls over the Easter weekend.
LADIES BOWLS
Results of the 'A' Singles Championships played last Thursday were:
Dot Heath defeated Regina Last.
Rose Davis defeated Robyn Hinton.
Rene Hannelly won by forfeit.

WELLINGTON GOLF CLUB – MEN
Wellington Golf Club's event for this Saturday is an Individual Stableford.
Upcoming events: April 22 – Four Ball Multiplier, April 29 – Individual Stableford as well as Invite Your Mate to golf day.
Events for May are, 6th Monthly Medal sponsored by Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club, round 6 of the pointscore, round 6 of the Neil Hollow putting competition, round 1 of the David Naveau Trophy, round 1 of the Kiss Trophy, 13th Individual Stroke, round 2 David Naveau Trophy, 20th 4Ball Aggregate, round 1 Cornish Trophy, 27th 4BBB Stableford, 28th Federal Hotel Wellington Open. Still no date set for the Twilight golf competition, but it shouldn't be long now.
LADIES GOLF
Numbers were reduced again but the ladies who played enjoyed the "cored" greens wit Jan Payne and Pauline Potts having great rounds.
Jan won with a 70nett and Pauline a 71nett. Carmel Cohen and Wendy Slack-Smith shared the Putting Award with 30 putts each.
Today's events are: Monthly Medal and the 2nd Round of Women’s NSW Golf Medal
Foursomes Championships: Organise a partner as these Championships are running over two Wednesdays' commencing next week the 19th and final round is the 26th April.
Easter Holidays: Please enjoy a safe and happy break whilst enjoying Stuart Town's "Man from Iron Bark" Festival, Wellington High School 1958 to 1975 Reunion, Museum's Historical and Caves Tours, Lake Burrendong's Fishing Classic with the company of Family and Friends. Who says there is nothing to do in Wellington.
