You have until Friday, August 25 to read as many books as you can from the challenge book list.
It is not a competition, but a challenge for NSW students from Kindergarten to Year nine to get the reading bug.
The aim of the challenge is to encourage a love of reading and to experience quality literature from a specially selected book list.
Most of the books on the list are available to borrow from the Library.
New Books
Born of Vengeance: Bastien Cabarro survived the brutal slaughter of his entire family, only to have his wife pin their murders on him.
Made Ravin by the League, he is now a target for their assassins-in-training to hunt and kill.
The average life expectancy for such beings is six weeks.
But defying the odds is what this Gyron Force officer does best, and Bastien won’t rest until he lays his betrayers in their graves.
The Rising: Twenty Four Hours. That’s all it takes for the lives of two young people to be changed forever.
Alex Chin has the world on a plate.
A football hero and homecoming king with plenty of scholarship offers, he has a future that looks bright.
His tutor, Samantha Dixon, is preparing to graduate high school at the top of her class.
She plans to turn her NASA internship into a career.
When a football accident lands Alex in the hospital, his world is turned upside down.
His doctor is murdered.
Then, his parents. Death seems to follow him wherever he goes, and now it’s after him.
