Saturday see's the Federal Hotel T20 Competition Finals games being played at Rygate
After last Saturday's games Amaroo Peckers are through to the Grand Final, Amaroo Ducks and Federal Floggers are to do battle in the Final whilst the colourful Rederns team bowed out for the season.
Sorry no results slips to hand, though I know Will Redfern would have scored the fastest 50runs (55 from 5.4 overs) seen in Wellington for many years, his innings plus Mark Redfern (Redfern's consistent run machine) entering the crease next would have had the Floggers concerned for an over or two. I believe they got Mark very cheaply and were only chasing 100odd runs.
In the Consolation Division - Geurie and Federal Thundercats will play the proceeding game too on Saturday to see who will take on the Farmers in the Grand Finals.
All teams not participating this weekend are reminded they must supply umpires for both games.
Saturday's Draw
1pm - Geurie v Thundercats
4pm or 6.30pm - Ducks v Floggers
Grand Final games next week will be commencing with the Consolation Game at 3pm followed by the Federal Hotel T20 game at 6.30/7pm. A BBQ is being planned for all players and a small cost for spectators with refreshments back at the Hotel after the game.
Representative Cricket
The Wellington Senor Representative team is off to Nyngan on Sunday for their Brewery Shield game with a win required and another game go their way to have any chance of making the finals. All to Nick, Brad and team.
Congratulations to Bianca Douglas who is Co-Captain along with Cloe O'Hern (Dubbo) of the Western School Sports High Girls team at the NSW Combined High Schools State Carnival being held in Maitland this week.
Female Coaching Session
Following the Gala Day at Pioneer (3.30pm give everyone a little break) Michelle Goszko (Aust/NSW Rep and a ACA Ambassador) will be hosting a coaching clinic for any girls (High School, Primary orT20 Blast) in Wellington and surrounds. Make the most of this opportunity, just turn up and you will be looked after.
