Storytime
Storytime starts back today and with the older kids back at school, bring the younger ones into a nice cool spot and let us entertain them every Wednesday at 11am with some rhymes, stories and crafts whilst you sit back relax and browse through the library’s range of magazines, books and DVDs or read the daily newspapers that are available.

Funzone
If you love art, creating things or building and you are 5 or over then come along and bring your friends to the library Funzone on Thursday afternoons between 3.30pm and 4.30pm , and create rock friends, sock puppets, press some flowers, make collages or try your hand at decoupage or maybe up cycle an old book. With a different activity every week to enjoy don’t miss your Thursday afternoon Funzone.
New Items
Playaway audio books are books that you can listen to as you go about your daily chores. They have a lanyard attached so they can be worn around your neck, plug in your headphones and 1 AAA battery and you can go wherever your heart desires.
New playaways – Nightingale Wood by Stella Gibbons, The Chocolate Lover’s Club by Carole Matthews, Eagle in the Snow by Wallace Breem, The Story of India by Michael Wood and Tim Cahilll’s Pecked to Death are just a few of the selections available. Motives For Murder by members of the Detection Club, which was founded in 1930 was a way for crime writer’s to get together, socialise and discuss ideas, this collection of crime by the Club’s current members is full of twists and turns, with stories set all over the globe from cosy English towns to far-flung places such as Dubai and Iceland.
