A number of clubs have already announced which players will play at Auckland on February 4 and 5, with plenty of up-and-coming players set to be given an opportunity to impress.
Wellington’s Brent Naden is likely to debut for the Canberra Raiders after being named in the squad, which will be without the likes of Orange’s Jack Wighton and Cowra big bopper Shannon Boyd. Coonamble’s Jesse Ramien and the son of western region favourite William ‘Bubba Kennedy’, William Jnr, have both named in the Cronulla squad, which is without James Maloney.
Another Coonamble product, Braidon Burns, appears to have made the right move swapping Penrith for South Sydney during the off-season after being named in the Rabbitohs Nines squad.
