The boys were part of the Football Development Australia’s (FDA) under 16's Football Development Squad and spent five days in San Diego before travelling to Dallas, Texas.
William’s mother Joanne Edwards said the boys got some amazing soccer experience in both training and game play, and the squad faced teams from across the US and other countries.
“The representative teams from all over America were there, with many players competing for a college position.
“They even played a team from Korea,” Mrs Edwards said.
Mrs Edwards said Sam was outstanding in goals and Will played well as a striker.
Their coach Cormac Begley had a lot of positive feedback about the game play and the boys’ overall attitude and sportsmanship.
Will said the tour was a really good experience.
“I loved playing against the other teams and now I have gained some more confidence playing against some more higher-level teams.”
Sam and Will wished to thank every body involved for their support.
