On Saturday December 3rd, members of the Traynor family gathered in Wellington to celebrate Mavis Traynor’s 90th birthday.
Mavis was born Mavis Clark in Dubbo in 1926. Her parents, originally from Wagga, came to live in Wellington around 1940 and first settled at Towri, Maryvale.
Mavis married Harold Traynor in 1955 and lived at Comobella, where they brought up four children – Anne, David, Janice and Carolyn.
The birthday lunch was held in the Lounge, at the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club and was attended by approximately 30 people.
Relatives of the Clark and Traynor families came from all over Australia including Tasmania, Sydney, Perth, Wagga, Griffith, Leeton, Forbes and Wellington.
After lunch, the party moved to Mavis’s home for a pool-side BBQ.
