Wellington Library will kick off this year’s Summer Reading Club with a launch party on Thursday, December 1 between 3.30 and 4.30. So get ready to unleash your imagination with Heroes and Villains, as you read like a superhero to collect limited edition super-characters, trading cards, masks, stickers and finger-lights!
The Summer Reading Club runs from December 1 through to 31 January 2017 and is a free library holiday program to encourage children to read as they collect incentives along the way. Children can join in the fun and collect a Reading Starter Kit at Wellington Library from December 1.
New Books
Never Enough: Donald Trump and the Pursuit of Success, this 2015 publication may be of added interest, given the events of last week.
Author Michael D’Antonio shows that Trump has rarely been ordinary in his pursuit of success, and his trademark method is based on a logic that begins with his firm belief that he is a singular and superior human being.
Brain Games: The Mind-Blowing Science of your Amazing Brain, Chaos by Patricia Cornwell, Getting Started in Small Business for Dummies, A Distant Journey by Di Morrissey, and a huge selection of children’s books perfect for the upcoming Summer Reading Club.
Magazines
Wellington Library subscribes to a number of popular magazines for your reading pleasure. Australian Women’s Weekly, Better Homes and Gardens, Money, Good Health, Koori Mail, Australasian Dirt Bike, Dolly and Mad magazine are just a few of the titles the library holds. They are all available for a one week loan.
