Wellington High students have left their creative mark on grey concrete as they dusted off some early skills.
The teens put chalk to work to make art with a 3D surprise, during sessions led by professionals Rudy Kistler and Zac Craig, engaged by the DREAM Festival.
“The ironic and great thing is that almost all of them [the students] had probably used chalk from an early age on the pavement,” Kistler said.
“So it’s the same as what we’re doing today, it’s just a new technique... they know what chalk feels like...
“It’s all about just learning a few extra techniques and learning to push it to that next level to create something that goes from ordinary to extraordinary.”
