Kimberley Trappett was called to perform the duty alongside Harry Bayliss from Parkes at a round one game in the NSW Country Plan B Regional Bash at Dubbo.
The pair are the Western School Sports Association girls and boys cricket team captains respectively.
Orana Outlaws and Western Schools boys cricket manager-coach Jordan Moran and Central West Wranglers captain Jameel Qureshi were at the pitch, all eyes on the toss.
Kimmie, as well as Artie Taylor, Alexandra Morley, Amalie McNeill and Cally Black were all presented with their Western PSSA shirts before play began between the Outlaws and the Wranglers.
The Outlaws had a dominant seven-wicket victory, setting them up for a round two clash.
Wellington acknowledged Kimberley as Junior Sportsperson of the Year in 2016 at the Australia Day awards.
