Up to 20 millimetres of rain fell in the 24 hours to 9am on Friday in the river catchment, the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) reported in its latest bulletin.
As a result, minor flooding is now current on the Bell at Wellington.
And minor flooding along the Macquarie River at Wellington continues.
The Bell River was at 3.24 metres and rising at Wellington at 6am.
It was predicted to reach 4.2m about midday with minor flooding.
The Macquarie at Wellington was 4.3m and rising at 10am.
Releases from Burrendong Dam are possible during the next 48 hours, which could produce further river rises, the SES advises.
Further rain is also forecast for the next 12 to 24 hours which could produce renewed river rises.
The situation is being closely monitored.
The SES urged motorists to take extreme care at Wellington because there may be water flowing across causeways and local roads.
They were advised not to drive through floodwaters, which may be fast flowing and contain hidden snags and debris.
