Deputy Premier and Dubbo MP Troy Grant announced the assistance for 21 local government areas on Tuesday while visiting flood-affected Forbes.
“The assistance...includes a range of practical measures to help affected individuals, small businesses, primary producers, and the local councils with their recovery efforts,” Mr Grant said.
Assistance is available under the jointly-funded Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA).
Individuals will be able to access grants for emergency accommodation, food hampers or essential household items, while concessional interest rate loans of up to $130,000 may be available to small businesses and primary producers.
Transport freight subsidies for primary producers of up to 50 per cent on the carriage of livestock and fodder, and 25 per cent on the carriage of fodder for dairy cattle are available.
