Wellington Garden Group Inc will be holding an open gardens day on October 22, 2017 as part of the town’s bicentenary celebrations.

It will be a fundraising day and the group is calling for submissions from local organisations that would like to be considered.
All the money raised on the day will go to two recipients the committee and the garden owners choose.
The group feels that by donating to only two charities or organisations, the funds will make a real difference to those organisations.
The theme for 2017 is “Historic Homes and their Gardens” and there will be five gardens to visit.
Interested charities and organisations can ring secretary Jennifer Wykes on 68871382 for a submission form and any further details.
Submissions will close on October 31, 2016.
