Senior staff of the Wellington Aboriginal Corporation Health Service (WACHS) officially welcomed Wellington Health Service (WHS) manager Sally Loughnan at a meeting earlier this month.
WACHS chief executive officer Darren Ah See anticipates regular meetings will take place in the future to work on enhancing services.
Ms Loughnan started in the leadership role with the Western NSW Local Health District (LHD) recently, bringing 20 years’ experience working as a senior nurse in the region.
“We were thrilled to be able to welcome Sally to the role and to Wellington and to orientate her with WACHS,” Mr Ah See said.
“WACHS has a lot of ideas and so does the LHD on how we can improve communication and processes to ensure that our community is accessing the right care at the right time and right place.
“We are looking forward to strengthening our relationship in the future.”
