The Cowboys will take on Nyngan in the juniors decider at Caltex Park and will start as favourites, having beaten the Tigers in all three encounters this season.
Wellington have lost just one match all year and after winning the minor premiership, made their way into the grand final with a comfortable 41-18 victory against the Tigers in the major semi-final.
Since then they have enjoyed a week-off, sticking to their normal training schedule and a light hit-out on Sunday, while Nyngan was busy overcoming Forbes 26-20 to earn the right to face the Cowboys again.
Wellington 18s coach Aidan Ryan said the young side had shown great dedication and were playing for each other as well as themselves.
“There’s a great spirit in this team and they have really led the club this year,” he said.
“It’s been 20 years since the Cowboys last won an under-18s grand final and a lot of these boys’ fathers and uncles were in that team.
“The boys want to play for each other and really want to do well. If they have had any rough patches, they have worked through them as a team.”
