Go online at www.wellingtontimes.com.au to see more pictures of the work and the workers, Peter Morris, Ricky Walker, Leanne Johnson, Shaun Miller and Sid Keogh, who have between them planted more than forty trees and shrubs, done a weed survey, built gardens beds (more to come!), and constructed the first of their compost bins from old pallets. If they can lay their hands on more pallets, there are plans to build garden furniture and who knows what else may be created as the weeks go by.
All this in time for the best weather to plant and grow things, so put your hands up for a plot of your own: we will be holding information sessions on what to plant when, weed control, bee-keeping, compost-making and more.
