At Dubbo last Thursday 1342 prime cattle penned in a mixed quality yarding with yearlings in the majority the market was generally dearer. Restocker vealers gained 20 cents, trade heavy vealers rose 15 to 20 cents, feeder steers improved 9 to 15 cents, feeder heifers were up 5 to 10 cents, trade steers and heifers lifted up to 20 cents, heavy steers gained 10 cents, heavy heifers topped at 345 cents, cows sold to strong competition being 10 to 15 cents dearer for the heavy end and the lighter end were dearer again.

The Store Cattle sale that was to be held last Friday at Dubbo was cancelled due to wet weather.
On Monday at Dubbo 27,700 lambs penned in a good quality yarding, there was a good mix of trade and heavy lambs along with a few pens of new season lambs. Lightweight lambs to processors fell $2 to $4, trade lambs were firm to $3 dearer, heavy weight lambs up to 26kgs rose $5 while the extra heavy lambs were firm. Merino lambs were firm to $4 cheaper with trade weights ranging from $92 to $138 and the heavy end topping at $154. Restockers paid to $105 and hoggets reached $128.

5600 mutton penned in a mixed quality yarding with most grades falling $4 to $7.
Quotations: light ewes $41 to $78, medium ewes $62 to $110, heavy ewes $85 to $120, light weight wethers $54 to $74, medium wethers $76 to $124, heavy wethers $113 to $134, rams $66 to $117, ram lambs $18 to $144.
