It took a while for the Redbacks to deliver the knockout blow at Yeoval but in the second half Wellington were clinical and put on four tries to finish 38-8.

The Eagles, in cold conditions with moisture on the football, were too slippery for the Redbacks early in the match with speed machine Jason Farrelly skirting the right hand touch line to race over.
It was tight upfront, the younger, less experienced Yeoval pack stayed in the intensity and it took a sweeping backline movement to the right to for the scores to be equal. Fullback Mitch Cusack’s right edge try fired the Redbacks and Aidan Ryan broke through the middle of the ruck to touch down.
The score 12-8 at halftime and sleeting rain made the ground even wetter and for a while it was again tight and tough but then good forwards play led to another try on the end of the drive Aidan Ryan again stepping wonderfully, Trent Forrest was also having a strong game, Dorin made sure the forwards got in on the act and by that time Wellington had cruised to a decisive victory against a brave opponent.
The Redbacks now head to Orange Ag College for their final round match. Geurie recieved a forfiet and play Trangie on Saturday in what will be a critical match for their finals aspirations. Yeoval will travel to Molong.
The finals begin soon in the 2016 Graincorp Cup.
