About 2.10pm Monday , officers from Chifley Local Area Command attempted to stop a yellow Holden Commodore on the Great Western Highway at Kelso.
The driver allegedly failed to stop and a pursuit was commenced, which was terminated due to safety concerns.
About 3.20pm, following inquiries, officers attended a home in Queen Street Oberon, where they arrested a 24-year-old man.
Following his arrest, officers searched the man’s bag and allegedly seized a bolt from a .22-calibre rifle, and ammunition.
