‘’Being at home gives NSW some sort of chance but you look at the Queensland roster and you wonder how NSW are going to t beat them but I think it will be close than people think.’’
Tighe speaking on the sidelines of an anti smoking Quit B Fit Tour event in Wellington says the Blues have made canny selections and this might make a difference in the match.
‘’I like a couple of the selections they have gone with, I like Matty Moylan. I think he gives them a good dimension and Reynolds in the halves will also play an important part.’’ he said.
The Moree born athlete who played a 9 year career spanning 264 matches at wing and centre but was plagued by injuries says the youth policy will help NSW
‘’NSW have to try something and they have gone down that road and its a good thing.’’
These days he’s selling the anti smoking message to fellow indigenous people.
‘’Its tough for them I know, but I love being back in the remote communities spreading a positive message.’’
Tighe says football is still part of his life and he thinks Cronulla could be the team to beat in the NRL this year
‘’ I sit back and watch the game now I am, a bit of fan. The smokey are the Sharks they are a really good side and I’d be watching out for them’
