THREE people, two men and a woman, have faced Orange Local Court over the alleged assault and robbery of a woman and her son in Orange at the weekend when firearms and a tomahawk were used.

On Tuesday afternoon Alicia Marie Howarth, 29 of Bourke was granted bail after being charged by police with concealing a serious indictable offence.
Alan Edwards aged 25, of Bourke also appeared in Orange Local Court on Tuesdayafternoon facing two charges of armed robbery with an offensive weapon, and he was subsequently refused bail.
Yesterday morning the third person police allege was involved in the assaults, Kurt Douglas Edwards 26 of Orange, faced court charged with two counts of robbery armed with an offensive weapon and robbery armed with a dangerous weapon.
Police allege he used a firearm and tomahawk in the attack and he was refused bail.
Police say at about 6.30pm on Saturday night a 43-year-old woman was at a house in Lords Place when she answered a knock to the front door to two men and a woman.
The trio spoke to the woman before leaving the premises.
However police allege the two men and a woman returned a short time later and found the 43-year-old woman in her backyard.
Police say one of the two men produced a firearm, striking the woman on the head before she fell to the ground.
After entering the premises the two men stole an Ipad and a handbag from the woman containing personal items and also threatened the woman's 13-year-old son.
All three will reappear in Orange Local Court early in July.
