As the shock finally sets in for a secluded former Wellington Council and there minority of followers the news of a merger with Dubbo really came as no surprise to many, Especially the farmers and graziers of the former LGA who were being neglected beyond belief!

Whilst news it seems to some in the plumb offices of the former WSC thought they may of been able to bluff the State Government into a fanciful 11th hour backdown and see past Wellingtons history of dire road and services management it really makes you wonder what was admistering us since 1949, whilst some like Barry Jeffery and his followers who only ever seemed to think the the whole Wellington LGA was only ever about Wellington and no one else I'm not at all surprised of the shock they are in, but I am in shock of the shear bald faced attacks and truely flabagasted at the barrage of garbage former Wellington Councillors and even some Dubbo Councillors have engaged in towards our local member, it's all well and good to whinge and complain about the decision but at the end of the day the former Wellington Council brought on this merger because of their complete and utter failure to enhance progress across a range of areas across the former LGA no one else is to blame just the former WSC because of what will for ever stand as a very poor record of minimal achievement in so much.
With this lack luster politically driven administration gone Wellington and surrounding townships will finally get what they have so desperately crying out for for so long, and that's progress, that's why Western Plains Regional Council brings hope not fear and an end to incompatent beuracracy not an end to democracy.
