Girls Under 12
Wellington Under-12 Girls played two games in Bathurst and both matches resulted in draws.
In game one against Orange, Wellington dominated the possession but Orange managed to keep them out and snatch a 1-all draw.
Game 2 against Bathurst was a very hard-fought match but also produced the same 1-1 result.
The Wellington girls are certainly proving they're up to the task at this representative level
Boys Under 16
Wellington hosted Round 1 of the Under-16 boys' competition and the local team came away with mixed results after a mammoth effort, playing both their games one man short.
Game 1 against Orange resulted in a 2-4 loss to the Wellington lads.
The boys stepped it up a notch in the second game snatching a 2-2 draw with the Dubbo Devils representative side after being down by a goal for much of the second half.
Both the Wellington teams (boys and girls) showed they can mix it with the big regional centres at this representative level. Great effort!
Thanks to the parents and supporters who helped run the canteen and our dedicated band of referees who made the day such a success.

Warriors (Dubbo District competition)
Warriors 15s
DCR Lone Rangers were way too good for the Warriors 15s who were beaten 12-1. Jake Veech was a standout in the backline for Wellington and Kimmy Trappet foiled many additional Dubbo shots as goalie. Wellington's only goal came from CJ Wheatley's boot.
Warriors 17s
Wellington were too classy for SASS Stars in the 17s age division rolling the Dubbo outfit by 8-1.
The Warriors team never looked troubled by SASS and played a good passing style football using the midfield to build an unrelenting attack and running the Dubbo team all around the park.
Harry Broome received the 'Golden Boot' this week.
Seniors
Women's Division 2 (Warriors)
The Women's Warriors were convincingly beaten by EDU in Dubbo this week. EDU Women was a Division 1 team but the Wellington ladies were undeterred.
Their teamwork is improving every week. Christine Cullen had a really good game in the midfield this week displaying great skills improvement.
Women Division 1 (Wildcats)
Divison 1 Women's played Orana Spurs and easily accounted for them 10-1. Wildcats played a free-flowing game, with Brooke George and Sammy Donaldson putting in good strong performances for the Wellington side.
All Age Men's
The men's team were beaten by Dubbo FC Bulls in a hard-fought game. Wellington struggled to find their form this week, however Matt Dorin was a standout and Ngahla Talbot slotted in a great goal from a free kick set piece outside the penalty box.
The 2016 soccer season kicked off to a wet, but great start. There were a large number of late registration on the day, especially in the Under 10 age group.
This will result in two new teams being created in the Under 10 age group. Look at the website for changes to Under 10 teams.
The chaos of the first day settled in to a fun start for all. The Under 6 teams enjoyed their first ever soccer experience and there were very few tears (from parents).
The Under 10 and 11 Warriors games were rained out at Dubbo as the field was unplayable. The Under 15 team lost and the Under 17 Warriors won 5-nil.
On Sunday the Wellington club hosted the Western Youth League Under 16 Boys. The Wellington team played extraordinarily well with 10 men. They played a 2-all draw with Dubbo, and went down 4-2 to Orange.
The Under 12 WYL girls' team had a fantastic time in Bathurst for their first representative outing. They drew 1-all in both games to Orange and Bathurst.
