But it took some torrid defence in the second half to assure the victory.
Wellington were on the board after 2 minutes when Coolah let the ball loose, James Cusack broke on the right and swiftly a lovely outside ball to Zac McManus who stormed. Nick Forrest added the extras.
Connor Size got the visitors within 4 with a dynamic long range goal attempt from over 40 metres and then struck another.
But the Redbacks when in possession of the pill had the right medicine and James Cusack playing an extra ordinary match out wide rushed on the left again.
Coolah weren’t out of it though and through sustained pressure got over the line on the far right.
Centre Torren Hepplewhite reached over covered by plenty of defences but was successfull.
12-11 and the Redbacks shot their attack to their right and Aidan Ryan showed brilliant speed to cut up the Coolah defence and soon after Steve Matheson was over in effortless fashion 33-11.
Adam Burgess got over for the visitors at the break but the Redbacks had a good lead.
The second half was tight Damien Wells dismissed from the field for a late tackle just after Robbie Baker had reduced the margin.
Aidan Ryan scored two more tries in the second half and in the end it was a 45-30 victory. The Redbacks well and truly back on track
