Unfortunately two teams are now out of the competition due to no shows in the first two rounds.
This means there will be two byes each week in the first half of the draw before a revised draw for the second half of the competition.
All fees are still too paid prior to playing in this competition.

The first major upset has already happened with the early favourites for the shield, the Wellington Hotel DV8s getting a reality check following the second round against the Federal Hotel Funder Cats who won the match early in the singles. Beware, the Funder Cats are serious.
Final score was Funder Cats 4, DV8s 3.
The Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club SS Soldiers got their challenge under way against the Wellington Hotel Cougars.
The Cougars lost in a close match last week and were full of confidence.
In the doubles, Kirsty Watts and James MacKay defeated Philippe Bell and Alfie Button 2-1, and Wendy Wilson and Bev MacKay defeated Virginia Hill and Vicki Button 2-0.
Singles results were Vicki Button lost to Wendy Wilson 1-2, Teena Hill defeated Kirsty Watts 2-0, Philippe Bell defeated Bev MacKay 2-1 and Alfie Button defeated James MacKay 2-0.
It was up to the team's game to give one team its first win. The lucky winner was the SS Soldiers who ended with a 4 games to 3 win over the Cougars.
In the draw for Round 3 of the competition the Wellington Hotel DV8s have a bye, Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club SS Soldiers will play the Wellington Hotel NFT, Wellington Bowling Club Odd One's Out will play the Wellington Hotel Cougars and the Federal Hotel Funder Cats also have a bye.

To play in the championships this year it will only cost you $5 to enter and you must be registered with the Wellington Hotel Darts Challenge as well.
