The Dubbo mother of a NSW Corrective Services Immediate Action Group member, who lost his life while off-duty, has paid tribute to the work of officers following a Remembrance Day ceremony at the Wellington Correctional Centre.

Lindsay Cafe died five years ago after coming home from work at the Wellington Correctional Centre and the memory runs deep.
But his mother Dot Cafe says tributes like the one on Friday are stark reminders of the tough work officers face on the job.
"It is lovely for his wife and children, and for us that he is honoured today," she said.
Wellington Correctional Centre acting manager security Craig Smith said fellow officers' hearts shared a common spirit.
"Today is a reminder of those who have passed away," he said.
Wellington mayor Cr Anne Jones said these men had paid the ultimate sacrifice with some of those being remembered dating back as far as 1842.
She said praised Wellington's no incident record.
Cr Jones said the safety policies and commitment was a credit to the acting general manager Brad Peebles, his staff and those who have gone before him.
