It is among a string of incidents the children are alleged to be involved in and the community is over their unruly activity Mr White said.
"I am sick to the bone about this,'' he said.
Workers at the CRT site say they chased and surrounded several children who they described as between 10 and 12 near the Baptist Church at Wellington.
They had been throwing rocks at tractors, which they had done before.
Workers called police who came to make an arrest, but the police were diverted, it's understood to a domestic violence incident on the day before White Ribbon Day.
"The damage bill at the CRT yards is up to $3000 now and the litany of damage to the town is pushing calls for harsher punishment on children 'who appear to be running a riotous rampage with impunity," Mr White said.
"Police have told us they will arrest them again and again and keep bringing them to court."
It's understood one of the young boys spruiked to the owner of a spray work business following an appearance in court that he was still free, even after the damage he had caused.
"It doesn't matter what damage I do," the boy said. "I am free."
It is also alleged the boys broke into a local home and caused widespread damage. Police are investigating all the matters.
Meanwhile honey has been robbed from a beekeeper just days after he showcased his work at a local pollinator week event.
It is understood police are searching for the culprit.
