"You may have heard that I am attempting to grow a mo for Movember in memory of my cousin and good mate Sandy Kiss who took his own life 20 years ago," Mr Smith said.
"We have a group called "Remembering Sandy" and we have so far raised $8500, our aim is $10,000.
"We want to raise awareness of men's rural mental health, Sandy went to school with me, we played footy together, we worked together, we went to college together and we lived in the same community, but I never really knew how much he suffered from depression until it was too late.
"This is all about raising awareness of an important issue in the bush but if you would like to donate a few dollars please go to the website, I would appreciate any support." To show your support go to: http://mobro.co/normsmith78.
