At the weekend they showcased their work at Sue and Ab Towney's home where people could wander about and see the art displayed in a garden setting where it takes on a life of its own.

Artist Sue Towney said she and her brother Paul were always fascinated by rustic items that once had a completely different use.-

"Everything we make is out of old recycled items or things we find," she said.-

"From old car bonnets to something we just pick up."-

Like bowerbirds, they are always on the lookout for something eye catching -or new ideas.-

"Often we will see something and take a photo," she said.-

"We think up things together. We're both on the same wavelength."-

From a young age they were both interested in art, inspired by their mother Norma Hannelly who always had an artistic flair.-

Growing up on a property near Stuart Town they were also always intrigued by discarded farm items.-

These days Paul Hannelly is quite skilled at welding and Sue Towney, who likes to work in a wide range of mediums for her own art, said they were always telling each other about their new ideas.-

After the success of their weekend event, they are tipped to have another exhibition next year.
