The sides were locked nil all with a few minutes left when Hannah Pace crossed to give Wellington the lead, Orange replied to make it a deadlock but then Brittany Naden stormed into a gap to race over.
"Brittany, Jess Fuller, Kiara Sullivan were very impressive in a huge result for Wellington against teams from the central coast, Newcastle, Orange, Mudgee, Parkes and Dubbo," Thompson said.
The 14s boys also made the grand final where they lost to Orange while the 12-year-old girls also sailed into the big dance but were beaten also by the home side.
