Second horror crash in two days at Bathurst

Driver Damien Flack is reportedly conscious and in the hands of medical professionals after an awful crash in a lead-up race at the Bathurst 1000.

Flack was competing in the second race of the Aussie Race Car Super Series, flying down Conrod Straight - the fastest section of the Mount Panorama track - when his car was clipped from behind and spun out of control.

Flack's car flipped multiple times and virtually disintegrated after hitting the concrete barrier. It then went over the barrier and burst into flames.

It was the second horror crash in as many days, after Bathurst 1000 champion Chaz Mostert was seriously injured in a huge crash in qualifying.
